**$3 service charge applies if the balance falls below $100 anytime during the statement period. Limit 6 preauthorized transactions or withdrawals per statement period. $2 excess withdrawal fee applied beyond the 6 transactions. Qualifying students and customers age 60 and older may have $3 monthly service charge waived, please visit a branch for details.

Certificates of Deposit (CDs)

Save for longer and at a higher interest rate with a CD! This popular savings option allows you to allocate a set dollar amount for a predetermined period of time and earn more than with a traditional savings account.

With a minimum opening balance of $1,000, you can start earning interest in a CD! Our terms range from 91 days to 60 months.

Christmas Club Account

The holidays often sneak up quickly, and if you’re not prepared, you might find yourself making unwise financial decisions because you forgot to plan ahead. When you open a Christmas Club account with the Bank of Old Monroe, you can rest easy knowing you’re saving small amounts on a regular basis towards gifts, a vacation, or whatever goal you have to make your holiday the best it can be.

How do you open a Christmas Club account? Follow these steps:

  1. Visit one of our branches.
  2. Choose the amount and frequency—weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly—you want to save, as well as if you plan to make deposits to the account or have the amount automatically transferred.
  3. Decide how you want to receive the funds when you reach your goal. We can send you a check in the mail or deposit the money directly into your account. It’s that easy!

The Christmas Club year begins the last week of October and runs through the third week of the following October.

  • Drivers license or government issued photo ID
  • Proof of taxpayer identification number
    • US citizens – SS card or recent tax document
    • Non-US citizens – SS Card, International passport, or alien identification card
